Quercetin is a bioflavonoid (the component that gives plants its pigment) found in grape skins, red onions, berries, kale, tea, and broccoli.

This very effective bioflavonoid is known for its antioxidant activity in radical scavenging (think PacMan gobbling up the bad guys) and anti-allergic properties by stimulation of the immune system and antiviral activity.

It’s also extraordinarily helpful during allergy season due to its ability to inhibit histamine release and decrease proinflammatory cytokines.

Other possible health benefits of quercetin from the latest studies:

  • Fighting free radicals.
  • Reducing chronic inflammation.
  • Reducing the risk of all cancers.
  • Preventing neurological diseases.
  • Preventing infections.
  • Reducing the risk of heart disease.
  • Lowering high blood pressure.

Selenium plays an important role in the health of your immune system

It is a trace mineral available in abundance in brazil nuts, but also other nuts, meat, poultry, and eggs.

This antioxidant helps to lower oxidative stress (we face oxidative stress when we have to decide on something from a menu of 6 items in a restaurant!) This in turn reduces inflammation and enhances immunity

Studies have demonstrated that increased blood levels of selenium are associated with enhanced immune response.

Selenium is a crucial nutrient that the body needs to stay healthy. Besides immunity, selenium is important for reproduction, thyroid gland function, DNA production, and protecting the body from damage caused by free radicals and from infection.

Studies also show its ability to support cognitive function and fighting asthma among the many benefits of making sure you have adequate selenium in your bloodstream.

Science tells us that without the proper amount of sleep, our best and healthiest habits aren’t fully realized.

In other words, sleep plays a crucial role in your physical health.

It is when we are sleeping that healing and repair work is underway. When we sleep, we lose weight.

And now the newest research says our immune systems are dependent on getting excellent,  quality sleep night after night to bolster the T cells in your body that fight infections and viruses.

Having an ongoing sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke.

This is why we created SleepEazzz, we need our sleep: NIGHTLY!

SleepEazzz is formulated with your quality sleep in mind:

Valerian-A flowering perennial from Europe and Asia, studies show that taking valerian can reduce the amount of time it takes to fall asleep by about 15 to 20 minutes and increase the quality of sleep.

GABA-Gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a naturally occurring amino acid that works as a neurotransmitter in your brain. GABA enables both your body and mind to relax and fall asleep and to sleep soundly throughout the night. Low GABA activity is linked to insomnia and disrupted sleep. In one study, GABA levels in people with insomnia were almost 30 percent lower than in people without the sleep disorder.

L-Tryptophan-L-tryptophan is an amino acid that has been used successfully for people with insomnia in many studies. Because it is a serotonin and melatonin precursor, L-tryptophan is a valued component in this formula for sleep.

Chamomile-The plant extract in chamomile contains apigenin, a chemical compound that induces sleepiness when it binds to the GABA receptors in the brain.

Passion Flower-Research suggests passion flower may help relieve insomnia and anxiety. It appears to boost the level of GABA in your brain, lowering brain activity, which may help you relax and sleep better.

Lemon Balm-Several studies show when lemon balm is combined with other calming herbs (such as valerian and chamomile) it works to help reduce anxiety and promote sleep.

Melatonin- research suggests that melatonin may be helpful in treating sleep disorders, such as delayed sleep phase, and providing some relief from insomnia and jet lag.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C

In the 1970s, vitamin C and the common cold became synonymous with the great work of Nobel Peace Prize winner Linus Pauling.

Pauling not only recommended vitamin C for its antioxidant properties in fighting viruses but for the health and longevity of all--vitamin C was a lifelong obsession for him.

Today we know the benefits of vitamin C may also include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health issues, and eye disease.

This is one of the most potent antioxidants that provides cellular protection on every level in the human body.

Vitamin C is an incredibly protective nutrient for our skin--without adequate vitamin C, we are prone to wrinkling and fine lines. Vitamin C is also critical in aiding our body in the production of collagen and the absorption of iron.

And because we don’t make it, we must get it from our diets and in supplemental form.

Zinc is one of the best immune system nutrients on the planet, hands down and the science supports this bold claim.

This essential micronutrient is critical to more than 300 enzymatic reactions and modulates cell-mediated immunity.

Not only that but it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can greatly influence the length and severity of the common cold--and other viruses as well.

According to the NCBI (National Center of Biotechnology Information), zinc is the gatekeeper for immunity.

It also plays a key role in growth, testosterone metabolism, reproductive health, and numerous other functions in your body.

Numerous clinical studies demonstrate that zinc supplementation can increase general wellness and that it has a valuable impact on connective tissue, digestion, metabolism as well as eye health.

Now here’s the important part: not all zinc is created equally.

Absorbability matters--that’s why Phenomenal Force Zinc is zinc citrate and a part of our Immunity High Five. Remember, if the body has trouble absorbing a nutrient, then it can't obtain the benefits.
